Scouting is a values-based program with its own code of conduct. The Scout Oath and Law help instill the values of good conduct, respect for others, and honesty. Scouts learn skills that will last a lifetime, including basic outdoor skills, first aid, citizenship skills, leadership skills, and how to get along with others. For almost a century, Scouting has instilled in young men the value and knowledge that they will need to become leaders in their community and country. -- Boy Scouts of America National Council
Mount Pisgah has been an active supporter of Scouting for over 30 years. Scouting programs are offered for boys and girls of all ages, including Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Venture Crew. Visit the links below, or call the Church Office at (336) 288-3321 to connect with our Scouting leaders.
Girl Scouts
Girl Scouts of the USA is the world’s preeminent organization dedicated solely to girls—all girls—where, in an accepting and nurturing environment, girls build character and skills for success in the real world. In partnership with committed adult volunteers, girls develop qualities that will serve them all their lives, like leadership, strong values, social conscience, and conviction about their own potential and self-worth.
There are six different levels in Girl Scouting: Daisy (Grades K-1), Brownie (Grades 2-3), Junior (Grades 4-5), Cadette (Grades 6-8), Senior (Grades 9-10), and Ambassador (Grades 11-12). Troop 40185 is a Junior Girl Scout troop. We meet at Mount Pisgah every other Tuesday evening from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Our latest newsletter/calendar of events is available in the column at left.
