Counseling/Support Groups

Many people are in need of talking with someone about their fears, problems, confusing thoughts, or similar issues. Our pastors will be happy to talk with you about such things and help you sort through your concerns. They are also available to pray with you at any time. Don’t hesitate to call upon us; please talk with the Office Volunteer or leave your number so one of our ministers can be in touch with you.

Stephen Ministry

The Stephen Ministry at Mount Pisgah equips lay persons to provide Christian one-to-one care to those who are experiencing all kinds of life needs and circumstances. Our trained team of Stephen Ministers are committed Christians who express God's care to others by listening, exploring feelings, praying, and sharing Christ's love.

Stephen Ministers offer help and support for people facing many kinds of issues, including hospitalization, terminal illness, death or loss, job crisis, separation or divorce, and birth or adoption. They are also available to offer help and support to the elderly, those with disabilities, and family or friends of people in crisis.

To connect with a Stephen Minister in our congregation, contact the Church Office at (336) 288-3321.

Grief Roundtable

We believe that persons who are grieving need support and nurture. Did you know that grief does not only accompany death? It also affects those who have suffered divorce, loss of job, loss of physical skills, or loss of relationship.

At Mount Pisgah, we want to provide a haven for those grieving in our community. The Grief Roundtable meets periodically. Sessions are somewhat formal and are designed to assist those who are grieving in coping with the many levels of grief. To be a part of this group, one does not have to be a member of Mount Pisgah. A member of the “roundtable” may come from anywhere in the area and need not be committed to any religious group.

For more information about the Grief Roundtable, contact the Church Office at (336) 288-3321. If you have a need, allow us to help you.
