Dr. Ted Troutman received his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Relations from the University of North Carolina in 1972. After an earlier career that included management consulting, outplacement, banking, and high school teaching and coaching, Dr. Troutman earned his M.Div. from Duke Divinity School in 1986, followed by his D. Min. from Erskine Theological Seminary in 2003.
At Mount Pisgah since July 2008, Dr. Troutman was formerly Senior Pastor at Blair Road UMC in Charlotte, NC (1994-2008), Senior Associate Pastor at Centenary UMC in Winston-Salem, NC (1990-1994), and Pastor at Harrisburg UMC in Harrisburg, NC (1986-1990).
Ted is married to Lynda W. Troutman. They are parents to Cori and Adam Willard, students at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in New Orleans, LA; Jacob Troutman, a senior at UNC-Chapel Hill; and Mary Katelyn Troutman, a senior at Butler High School in Matthews, NC.
